Alumni Advisory Board

We are working with the Alumni department at ISB to create an advisory board comprised of alumni that can offer unbiased oversight & guidance. Though we are in the early stages, we'd like to advocate for an elected Advisory Board to work with the Board of Trustees & Head of School as an official governing body with a voice in curriculum, programs, etc.

Career Path Fireside Chats

What career paths are available to ISB graduates to impact the world?Life After ISB: Career Path Fireside Chats with ISB AlumniISB alumni are making an impact across all walks of life. We are doctors, lawyers, and financiers; we are also start-up founders, community organizers, and media strategists. In this summer series of fireside chats, students will be exposed to the wide range of avenues available to make a change in the world. Students will need to bring only an open mind as they hear directly from ISB alumni about alumni experiences in life after high school with an emphasis on how career navigation has been affected by the current events, such as the coronavirus pandemic and issues of social justice.

Summer Reading Group

Education doesn’t end when we leave school - how can ISB Alumni continue to self-learn & apply an understanding of current events to real world scenarios?Understanding & Discussing Current Events with ISB AlumniThese are bi-weekly meetings facilitated by an ISB Alumni who will lead discussions & help students understand the application of what they read and how it applies to the real world. The two week course will end in a full book review & discussion with Alumni sharing their personal experiences as they relate to the topic & how they continue their own personal path to self-learning well beyond the classroom.

International School Coalition

The International School Coalition is an informal group of alumni from international schools all around the world, working together to establish baseline recommendations that can be used to educate on anti-racism.As a first step, we are focused on collecting stories from all international school alumni about their lived experiences - both while attending international school and life experiences thereafter. These stories collectively will help bring to light the issues that international schools face, and will be shared with groups working to dismantle racism in international schools. These stories can of course be submitted anonymously. Stay tuned as we launch our platform to collect these stories.
